The state of mind

"The most exciting phrase to be heard in science and the one which announces new discoveries, is not “Eureka” (I’ve found it !), but rather “ Well, that’s strange!”…

Isaac Asimov

Research is now a basic priority for the ESC Chambery Savoy Group.

The research team is made up of 18 people. Their aim is to gain academic recognition for the works undertaken through a policy of publication but also to obtain increased prestige through the organisation of colloquiums.
Its dynamics have been increased by its collaboration with the IREGE laboratory in the University of Savoy, through a partnership convention.

The ESC Chambery Savoy Group is developing a chair on the Mountain Experience in partnership with companies and organisations which are specialists on this subject. This chair is concerned with an academic research project, studies for the use of companies but also with a transfer of expertise for the benefit of our students.

Research also adds dimension to our pedagogical project. All our students produce a Study and Research Masters Thesis. They thus learn to appropriate the thinking processes and methods of analysis necessary for their future responsibilities.
