Information Mapping®
Method description
What is Information Mapping® ?
Information Mapping® is an editing method which through analysis, organisation and a presentation of the information, makes it possible to provide the reader with exploitable documents.
What the method consists of ?
The Information Mapping method® is made up of three elements :
- The analysis which makes it possible to define the objective of the document, the tasks and needs of the reader and the typologies of the audiences in order to create editorial terms of reference
- The organisation which gives the document a structure and a editorial coherence
- The presentation which makes the information clear and ergonomic whatever the final format
The Tools
Information Mapping® is based on scientific observations based on research works. The approach and the tools therefore originate from these observations. They are simple to use and to implement
For example we can cite : the information typology which, thanks to a question game makes it possible to understand which understanding reflex will be used by the reader ; the editor will be able to choose the ‘writing’ that is the best adapted.
