The CURIAL Residence

Is at the CURIAL Résidence in the heart of Chambéry, in a calm area of the city.

The private residence provides modern, fully-furnished rooms, single or shared, each with these facilities :

  • bathroom,
  • bed linen,
  • cooking area,
  • TV,
  • broadband internet connection,
  • direct phone line.

There is a small workout room.

Shops, cafés and bars in the historic center are within easy walking distance.

There are festivals and music at this time of year.

Bus and train access is close by.

Each 20m² studio has its own bathroom, and cooking area with fridge. Bed linen is provided. There are laundry facilities in the building.

The CURIAL is in center of Chambéry, opposite the theatre, cinema and library complex, a short walk from the Duke of Savoy's castle and the historic part of time.

This area offers reasonable-priced take-aways and restaurants, lots of cafés and bistros, some with live music.

For provisions, major supermarkets are short bus-ride away.

In 2006 the program begins with the National Music Festival, normally on June 20, and ends with Bastille Day on Friday 14 July, the National Holiday, so you will have a chance to be in France at its most festive time!

Costs and enrolment for 2006 Chambéry sessions

  • Program and single room : 1850 euros USD value nov 07 = 2700 $
  • Program and two-people sharing : 1640 euros USD value nov 07 = 2400 $

Procedure

BY 15 MARCH

  • Please complete on-line enrolment form on this site, and forward the deposit of 500 euros by wire or by check.

BY 1 JUNE

  • Please forward the remaining payment according to your choice of accommodation.

The payment is required to book the accommodation with its private owner.

Reservation conditions

Cancellation before 30 March permits a reimbursement of 80% of deposit.

After this date the deposit will not be returned without a medical certificate.

A 100 euro administration fee will be deducted.

Finally, your home institution (Study Abroad Office) may require additional enrolment fees for credit transfer.

Please also check with them for any insurance cover that they can assist you with.
